Choose from one of the technology tools found on Cool Tools for Schools, or the list of educational subject sites I have posted in BlackBoard and here.  Try to choose something different than what your fellow students have chosen.  But if you really want to learn a technology already taken, you can if you can use it in a different way than the artifact of the other student.  If you know a good technology you would like to learn, for which we do not yet have an assignment page, you can create your own assignment, but you must first e-mail your instructor or text for permission to use it.
1. First you should explore the technology’s site and watch any relevant videos on how to do it.  Find tutorials or information such as YouTube videos on how to use it.
2. Create some type of artifact using the technology.  You can provide a link to the technology, embed it on your blog, attach a file or just take a screenshot of it and put it in your post.   To take a screenshot on a Mac, hold down the shift + command +4 button and draw over the area you want a picture of. The picture is deposited on your desktop. On a PC use the print screen button and then paste the picture into a document or blog post.
3. Post on your blog the artifact, pictures, or screenshots along with:
 a. The name of the technology and the URL in the title of the post.
b SHORT summary of what your technology  is and does .
c. A minimum of 2 links to a tutorial or videos on how to use the technology
 d. One instructional activity you could use with your students using the tool.
4. Review at least 3 other posts from fellow students and make comments to them.  The comments need to be more than “this is great”!
